Jay & Emily – Ashton Lodge Country Park – Warwickshire

When I knew I was photographing Emily and Jay’s wedding, I was over joyed! They are crazy in love, super smiley and can’t keep their hands off each other. I was super excited to be part of this wedding day.

Ashton Lodge Country Park Warwickshire

It was my first time photographing a wedding at the Ashton Lodge Country House and what a wonderful wedding venue it is. Based in Stretton Under Fosse in Warwickshire nestled in the beautiful country side, it has everything to make a wedding wonderful. It is bursting with character, has lots of open spaces for wedding guests to explore, a beautiful wedding ceremony room and a very large wedding marquee.

Wedding Vows

Emily and Jay had a civil wedding ceremony. Emily’s father beamed with pride as he walked his beautiful daughter down the aisle to meet Jay, her groom. They wrote their own wedding vows to each other which were funny, personal and also very emotional. The whole wedding party was in tears (including me) as they became husband and wife.

Wedding Guests

After the ceremony the wedding guests headed outside for canapés, drinks, lawn games and were then entertained by the amazing magician Owen Strickland. They then heading off for a delicious wedding breakfast served inside the marquee.

Wedding Speeches

The Speeches are one of favourite parts of the wedding day. The Guests and the Wedding Party are generally relaxed by now and are used to me being around. I can get some real intimate portraits of guests and I love to photograph their reactions to the speeches. The laughter, the tears and just the proudness that they feel to be part of a couples wedding day.

When the evening guests arrived Emily & Jay cut there delicious cheesecake wedding cake and then they danced the night away. What an amazing wedding.

This is what Emily and Jay said….

“Wow the photos are AMAZING and even better than we could ever have hoped for! You have captured the day and so many special moments perfectly. It’s going to be so hard to decide which ones to put up in our house because they are all so good! It has been so nice to sit and re live everything while looking at them. Thanks again for all of your time and hard work, I know how much effort goes into the photos after you have taken them all, so we really appreciate it. We can’t wait to show our families now! We loved having you to share our special day and you blended in with our families so well. Everybody said how lovely you were.”
