Lichfield Cathedral Wedding Photography Caroline & Paul

Lichfield Cathedral Wedding Photography

Lichfield is based in Staffordshire and is a very beautiful City. Although Lichfield is a city it is still very quaint and charming.  It has a beautiful park and the most amazing Cathedral. It was my first time photographing a wedding inside Lichfield Cathedral, in fact in any Cathedral. I was really looking forward to this one.

I started the morning with Caroline, the very beautiful bride at her home address in Lichfield. She was being treated to the most amazing wedding make up and bridal hair.  The house was filled with laughter, especially from Caroline . Her bridal bouquet was delivered by the Major of Lichfield as his very talented wife had made and designed her wedding flowers. There are some moments in a wedding when I have to concentrate hard at a wedding, to stop myself from becoming caught up in the moment. I sometimes can really feel how someone is feeling at that particular moment and sometimes it can be very whelming. I had one of these moments when Caroline walked down the stairs in her wedding dress. She looked amazing and I knew she felt it. She was beaming and so excited to see her husband to be Paul.  We headed off registry office where the official wedding ceremony was performed. Paul could not take his eyes off his new wife. After the wedding ceremony all the guests walked across the road to the amazing Lichfield Cathedral.

Lichfield Cathedral Wedding Ceremony

Lichfield Cathedral is just the most beautiful place to have a wedding. When you walk into the Cathedral it takes your breath away, it is so beautiful and has a sense of magic about it. Caroline and Paul married in the Cathedral in December and the Cathedral looked extra special as it was dressed in Christmas decorations and Christmas trees.

Caroline and Paul walked down the cathedral aisle together united. They shared cheeky  glances, sang Christmas carols and did not stop smiling. The extra special moment was after the wedding ceremony they were lead out of the cathedral by the vicars. They were so lucky as the huge Cathedral front doors were opened. This was extra special as they only open those doors if its the ideal weather conditions after a wedding ceremony.  This was an amazing moment for my bride and groom and all of their wedding guests.

Wedding guests at Lichfield Cathedral

After the wedding ceremony, on mass the wedding guests walked from Lichfield Cathedral to the wedding reception at the George Hotel. I stayed behind with Caroline and Paul as they shared some time alone together inside the cathedral. They lit candles in memory of loved ones and then they too walked from the cathedral to the George Hotel.

They were treated by cheers as they arrived at their wedding reception. The whole day was magical and guests were treated to a surprise singing waiter and the most awesome magician The evening wedding reception had everyone  up and dancing to the amazing wedding band.

I was so lucky to work with some amazing wedding suppliers. Here’s they are
