Alrewas Hayes Wedding Photographer
The first time I ever met Jodie & Paul was at a wedding I was photographing one of their friends wedding days. They arrived for the evening reception and I remember seeing Jodie walking across the wedding venue holding out her engagement ring to her friends. Jodie and Paul were beaming as friends congratulated them on their engagement. I remember thinking what a lovely couple they were and how happy and in love that they looked. A couple of weeks later I had an email from Jodie asking to meet with me to talk about becoming their wedding photographer for their wedding at Alrewas Hayes. When I called at the house for the consultation I prayed that they were the same couple that I had seen at the wedding a couple of weeks before. So when Jodie answered the door, I literally did a little dance. Jodie and Paul are the nicest of people and they have what I love to photograph . Fun and Love for each other. I was ecstatic that they chose me to photograph their wedding at Alrewas Hayes.
Bridal preparation – Alrewas Hayes
So fast forward 18 months later and their wedding day arrives. Alrewas Hayes is a stunning contemporary countryside wedding venue set in the town of Alrewas in Staffordshire. It’s easy to see why Jodie and Paul chose to get married here. When I arrived Jodie and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the private bridal suit at Alrewas Hayes whilst Paul got ready with his groomsmen. As they were both getting ready at the same venue, I was able to spend a little time with both the bride and groom. The bridal party had their make up professionally applied by the talented Hayley Price and everyone’s hair was done by one of the very talented bridesmaids. When Jodie (who was 7 months pregnant), put on her wedding dress I was blown away. In fact the whole bridal party was. Jodie looked just stunning and was beaming.
Jodie and Paul had a civil ceremony in the hall at Alrewas Hayes. It was beautifully decorated and looked very romantic. I waited at the front of the ceremony room as the bridal party made their entrance. First in line were Jodie’s and Pauls nephew’s as page boys, their outfits were just so cute. They were then followed by Jodie’s bridesmaids, who were desperately trying not to get emotional. Paul watched Jodie enter the room through the mirror at the front of the room at Alrewas Hayes. He did not take his eye’s off her as she smiled her way down the aisle, proudly given away by her father. Paul was beaming when Jodie stood next to him. He then gently leaned across and rubbed Jodie’s bump. This was a very special moment. These are the moments that I love to photograph.
Lakeside Wedding Marquee – Alrewas Hayes
After the wedding ceremony we headed off into the court yard for drinks and canapés .Wedding guests were entertained by the amazing magician Owen .Wedding guests do really enjoy a good Magician and I really enjoy taking their reactions when they see the amazing tricks. The weather was not very kind to us, however we dodged the rain clouds and managed to get some couple portraits outside in the beautiful Alrewas Hayes gardens.
After the drinks reception the wedding party headed to the Lakeside Wedding Marquee which is built at the rear of Alrewas Hayes Wedding Venue. It over looks the lake and has some magnificent views of the countryside .This is where the delicious wedding breakfast was served and the speeches were given. More amazing wedding guests arrived for the evening and it turned into an amazing party. I felt really honoured to be part of such a very special wedding day.
