Mullaghmore Sligo Wedding Photography

Sligo Wedding Photography

When Dominique & Mark invited me to photograph their wedding day, I literally jumped with  joy. You see I have been fortunate to photograph Domininque’s brother’s wedding , her sisters wedding and now I was being asked to photograph her wedding day. They are one of the funniest ,warmest families that I have been honoured to work with and I am hopeful that one day they may adopt me. Photographing three siblings weddings is by far the biggest compliment I could ever have.

Sligo Wedding Photos

Dominique’s family are originally from Ireland. They choose to marry in Sligo which is where their family grew up. So the day before the wedding , I flew over to Sligo and checked into the hotel in Mullaghmore. I fell in love with the place. Could this wedding be anymore perfect?

On the morning of the wedding , the bride got ready in her late uncles home where her grandmother grew up. The family home is bursting with memories and was a really special place to get ready. Dominque was helped into her wedding dress by her two sisters and their were tears all around. She was then greeted outside by her emotional father as he saw her in her wedding dress for the first time, she looked so beautiful.

The bride and her father then climbed into the horse and carriage and were taken on a short journey to the village catholic church . After a beautiful wedding ceremony they exchanged their wedding rings and were surrounded by their friends and family .

Straight after the wedding they went into the village shop that actually serves alcoholic drinks. The happy couple did their first wedding shot ( the one in a glass) The atmosphere was amazing.

Afterwards the guests headed off to the wedding reception which was held at The Pier Head Hotel

The wedding guests were treated to an amazing wedding breakfast , funny and emotional wedding speeches  and a non stop Party. To top the night off , the most amazing Irish dancers came and performed for the guests. They know how to party in Sligo and this Wedding photographer went to bed at 2am with sore feet, a camera packed of photographs and a heart full of love.

I really loved photographing this wedding. Here are just a few wedding photographs  from the day. Congratulations Dominique & Mark.
